Dear Church Family,

We are remaining compliant with all federal and local requests.  Because of this, please be advised that we will not have any formal gatherings or meetings on the campus of New Georgia Baptist until Sunday, May 3rd.  This is our scheduled Homecoming Service each year…and it will have very special meaning if we are able to assemble at that time.

For observance of Easter…our blooming cross will be placed on the steps of the Worship Center facing Hwy 61.  You will be encouraged to drive by beginning Saturday, April 11th at 3pm, to place flowers in the cross.  It will remain available until Easter Sunday at 6pm.

Until that very special time when we can worship and gather together in person, we will continue to have worship service online at www.ngbc.org where you can connect through the Sermon banner.  Bible studies are also available on the Church’s Facebook page.  Some may have resisted connecting through this social media platform for understandable reasons; however it has proven to be a means for us to remain connected and engaged as a body of faith.  Should you consider joining, please make the Friend request through the Facebook site and you will be joined.

I know many have expressed worship by bringing their tithe and offering to the church.  The office is available Monday – Thursday 9am – 1pm and you may wish to do that as well.  You may also worship through giving by going to our Website and giving online.  The programs used to accomplish this have exceptional security measures in place to protect your vital information.

If I may be of service or support during these times of required social distancing, please contact the church office at any time as these messages are checked regularly.

God bless and strengthen you as we continue to press towards the mark of the high calling.

I remain your Brother in Christ,

Pastor Keith

Dear Church Family:

Given the official public report released by the US Coronavirus Task Force on Monday, March 16th, and based on contact report with the CDC, and conversation with our local Dept. of Public Health…it is the best and most prudent response of NGBC to cancel all public gatherings, Bible study gatherings, Wednesday night fellowship meals, and Care Closet Ministry through March 31, 2020.

The following provisions will be instituted immediately so as to faithfully continue to engage the mission and ministry we have been called and commanded to fulfill:

  1. Sunday Morning Worship Services will be recorded and available for viewing on-line beginning at the scheduled worship time of 10:45a.m. Sunday morning, and remain available.  You may access this by going to www.ngbc.org and going to the Sermons banner.  I encourage you to log on and continue with us as we return to 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22 this Sunday.  Our Sunday evening service will be a devotional study broadcast through FB live feed.

  2. Our Wednesday night adult Bible study for both 3/18 and 3/25 will also be available on-line at the same location.  We will continue our study through Ecclesiastes, and finding His way through “meaningless and emptiness”.  Prayer lists will be available on the church website.

  3. Our children’s and Youth ministries will have on-line lesson guides and studies produced by Pastor Corey and Ms. Traci.  Video messages by Pastor Corey will be available for the Wednesday study for 3/25 and Children’s church on 3/29.  I will have a video study available for the Youth for this Wednesday on FB and a Children’s message for this Sunday 3/22.  These will be pre-recorded and can be viewed on the day of service or afterwards.  I encourage parents to use these resources.

  4. Worship through Tithe and Offering will be available in several formats:  1). Online giving through the www.ngbc.org website will be available.  Instruction on this site will redirect you on how to set-up for this to take place.  2). The church office will be open for offering drop off Monday through Thursday 9am – 1pm.  3). You may also mail in your offering/tithe to the church.  Please send it to the church address:  6092 Mulberry Rock Rd., Villa Rica, GA 30180.  4). Finally, if needed, you may contact your deacon and they will arrange for your offering to be collected from your home.  No personal contact required.  They will call and make necessary arrangements with you.  We must remain faithful in all aspects of our worship, even gathering together in these modified forms for a season.

Please continue to pray for your staff and member families during this very unusual circumstance that has beset our community and world.  Remain faithful before the Lord in prayer and study.  Communicate personal concerns or prayer needs to your deacon or to me at my email: keith@ngbc.org.  You may call the church office and also leave concerns/needs with Ms. Vickie or on voicemail.

Please know that conditions are still in a state of change and flux.  I will routinely update the church through the website, FB, and phone contact utilizing Sunday school rolls.

God bless, preserve, strengthen, and embolden you to remain faithful and courageous with His Gospel during this time.

In the Love of Christ,

Pastor Keith
