Scripture tells us that “Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men” Luke 2:52 . At CELC, we seek to follow that pattern for our students.
Wisdom: Jesus grew intellectually. Our preschool program uses the A Beka curriculum. Shapes, colors, letters, and numbers are taught in an age appropriate manner.
Stature: Jesus grew physically. Arts and crafts, playtime, and manipulatives help build gross and fine motor skills.
In Favor with God: Jesus grew spiritually. Bible lessons, Bible songs and Bible verses, as well as weekly Chapel, encourage spiritual growth.
In Favor with men: Jesus grew socially. Social skills are enhanced through play and learning activities. Our teachers provide variety with special dress-up days, interesting visitors, and fun field trips.
Our kindergarten uses a variety of curriculum including A Beka and Horizons to give our students a well rounded education. Phonics, spelling, handwriting, math, social studies, science and Bible lessons, along with extra curricular activities, fill out their day.
Two year olds and older participate in weekly music and computer classes. Our computer lab has 10 computers with educational, age appropriate games. Our music teacher provides opportunities to sing and play simple instruments. The Associate Pastor of NGBC, Keith Stell, leads Chapel every Thursday with singing and a Bible lesson.
